1. Overview
TezStudio ("we") respects user privacy in BabyLapse ("the App") and handles data according to this policy. The App requires no account or sign-in, and all of your child's photos and information are stored only on your device. The App shows no ads.
2. Child Information and Photos
What the App processes
- Your child's name (or nickname), date of birth, and due date (optional), entered by the parent or guardian
- Photos and their capture date that you explicitly add by tapping the shutter button or importing from the photo library
- Notes you add to photos
- Short parent voice clips you record by tapping "Record" (optional)
How it is used
- Labeling each photo with your child's age from their date of birth (days old, months, 100 days, first birthday)
- Rendering a growth video (MP4) or GIF, and making 100-day, first-birthday, and monthly keepsake cards
- Playing your recorded voice clip during front-camera shots to catch your baby's attention
- Scheduling daily photo reminders and milestone reminders (100 days, each birthday)
Storage
This information is stored exclusively on your device, in the App's private storage. It is never sent to or backed up on our servers or any external cloud, and it is deleted when you delete the App. Items are saved to your photo library only when you tap Save.
Third-party sharing
Your child's photos and information are NOT shared with any third party. They leave the App only when you explicitly share them to another app (e.g., Messages, Mail) or save them to the photo library.
3. Face and Eye Alignment
To align growth-video frames on your baby's eyes, the App locates the eyes in each photo entirely on the device, using Apple Vision on iOS and Google ML Kit's on-device model on Android. The resulting coordinates are used only temporarily to align the video. No face-identifying information, face geometry, or face embeddings are stored or transmitted, and this feature is never used to identify individuals or for biometric identification.
4. Permissions
- Camera — used only while you take photos
- Microphone — used only when you tap "Record" to record a short parent voice clip; recordings stay on the device
- Photo library — imports only the photos you pick in the system photo picker; on iOS the App may request photo access to read each photo's capture date. Videos, photos, and cards are written to the library only when you tap Save
- Notifications — local notifications scheduled on the device (daily photo, 100-day and birthday milestones), not server push notifications
Permissions are used only for these purposes and can be revoked at any time in the device settings.
5. Crash Diagnostics and Analytics
To improve the App and its stability, Google Firebase Analytics collects anonymous app usage events (e.g., taking a photo, exporting a video, viewing the purchase screen) along with device and OS information, and Firebase Crashlytics collects diagnostic information (crash logs, device model, OS version, app version, installation identifier) when the App crashes. This data never includes your child's name, photos, date of birth, notes, voice clips, or any other child information. It is retained according to Google's retention policies (up to 14 months for Analytics, 90 days for Crashlytics) and then deleted automatically. See Privacy and Security in Firebase.
6. Advertising and Tracking
The App shows no ads and contains no advertising SDKs. It does not collect advertising identifiers (IDFA/AAID) and does not track users across other companies' apps or websites (it does not request App Tracking Transparency permission). We do not sell any data.
7. Purchases
The Lifetime Pass is processed through App Store or Google Play billing. Payment details such as card numbers are handled by Apple or Google; we never receive them. The App checks only the store-issued receipt information on the device to confirm your purchase.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is designed for parents and guardians and is not directed to children. Information about the child is entered by the parent or guardian and stays on the device; we do not collect it.
9. Retention and Deletion
Photos and child information stay on the device until you delete a photo or child in the App or delete the App; deleted items are removed immediately. Deleting the App removes all of its data. Device backups (e.g., iCloud, Google backup) follow the respective service's policy. Analytics and crash data follow the retention periods in Section 5.
10. User Rights
Users may request access, correction, or deletion of their data at any time. Contact: support@tez.kr
11. Changes
If this policy changes, we will notify users via the App or this page. This policy is effective as of October 3, 2026.
