BodyLapse

1. Overview

TezStudio ("we") respects user privacy in BodyLapse ("the App") and handles data according to this policy. The App requires no account or sign-in, and your photos, weight, location nicknames, and notes are stored only on your device. The App shows no ads.

2. Workout Records and Photos

What the App processes

  • Photos and their capture date that you take in the App
  • The pose you select (front, side, back, or contest)
  • Session tags you enter: split day, pre or post workout, pump state, location nickname, and weight
  • Notes you add to photos

How it is used

  • Grouping shots with matching pose and conditions for like-for-like comparison
  • Rendering a timelapse film (MP4) auto-aligned to your shoulders and hips
  • Marking workout days and poses in the workout calendar
  • Generating 9:16 share cards with face blur and location hidden by default

Storage

This information is stored exclusively on your device, in the App's private storage and local database. It is never sent to or backed up on our servers or any external cloud, and it is deleted when you delete the App. Items are saved to your photo library only when you tap Save.

Third-party sharing

Your photos and workout records are NOT shared with any third party. They leave the App only when you explicitly share them to another app (e.g., Messages, Mail) or save them to the photo library.

3. Shoulder and Hip Auto-Alignment

To align film frames to the same body anchors, the App locates shoulder and hip joints in each photo entirely on the device (offline), using Apple Vision's body pose detection on iOS and Google ML Kit's pose detection on Android. The resulting coordinates are used only temporarily to align the film. No body-identifying information, biometric geometry, or embeddings are stored or transmitted, and this feature is never used to identify individuals or for biometric identification.

4. Permissions

  • Camera — used only while you take photos
  • Photo library — used only to add films, cards, and photos to your library when you tap Save or Share (iOS requests the "add-only" permission)
  • Face ID / Fingerprint / Passcode — used to unlock the App; biometric data is managed by the OS and the App never has access to it
  • Motion sensor — used only to show the level indicator (device tilt)

The App does NOT use the microphone or location. On Android, the ad ID permission (AD_ID) is explicitly declared as not collected. Permissions are used only for these purposes and can be revoked at any time in the device settings.

5. Crash Diagnostics and Analytics

To improve the App and its stability, Google Firebase Analytics collects anonymous app usage events (e.g., pose captured, number of splits, export success, viewing the purchase screen) along with device and OS information, and Firebase Crashlytics collects diagnostic information (crash logs, device model, OS version, app version, installation identifier) when the App crashes. This data never includes your photos, weight, location nicknames, notes, body coordinates, or user name. It is retained according to Google's retention policies (up to 14 months for Analytics, 90 days for Crashlytics) and then deleted automatically. See Privacy and Security in Firebase.

6. Advertising and Tracking

The App shows no ads and contains no advertising SDKs. It does not collect advertising identifiers (IDFA/AAID; Android AD_ID permission is blocked) and does not track users across other companies' apps or websites (it does not request App Tracking Transparency permission). We do not sell any data.

7. Purchases

The Lifetime Pass (one-time purchase) is processed through App Store or Google Play billing. Payment details such as card numbers are handled by Apple or Google; we never receive them. The App checks only the store-issued receipt information on the device to confirm your purchase. There is no subscription.

8. Retention and Deletion

Photos and workout records stay on the device until you delete an item in the App or delete the App; deleted items are removed immediately. Deleting the App removes all of its data. Device backups (e.g., iCloud, Google backup) follow the respective service's policy. Analytics and crash data follow the retention periods in Section 5.

9. User Rights

Users may request access, correction, or deletion of their data at any time. Contact: support@tez.kr

10. Changes

If this policy changes, we will notify users via the App or this page. This policy is effective as of October 13, 2026.
