1. Overview

TezStudio ("we") handles personal data in Naengjipsa ("the App") under this policy. The App starts anonymously with no sign-up and never asks for your name, email or phone number.

2. What we collect

• Anonymous account ID: a random ID created by Firebase anonymous sign-in on first launch
• Display name: an optional name you enter so family members can tell each other apart
• Fridge records: food names, quantities, storage zones, dates, use/discard history and saved recipes you add
• Photos: receipts, order screenshots or food photos you choose to recognize
• Notification data: your device push token and reminder time, if you turn notifications on
• Purchase data: the transaction ID and product issued by Apple or Google Play for the lifetime pass. Payment details are handled by Apple or Google; we never receive them
• Usage counts: monthly photo-recognition and AI-recipe counts, to apply limits
• Usage statistics: how often and on which days features such as opening the app, adding food or opening recipes are used, plus platform (iOS/Android) and app version, stored per anonymous account ID. They never include food names, photos or other content
• App analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase): a random app-instance ID generated per install, app launch / screen / feature-use events (only the event name, type and count), device model, OS and app version, country or region inferred from the IP address (the IP address itself is not stored), and store purchase events (product and price). Food names and photos are not sent
• Crash reports: device model, OS version and where the error occurred when the App crashes

The App uses no advertising SDKs, advertising identifiers (IDFA / Android Advertising ID), location permission or contacts, does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not use any data for personalized advertising.

The "Coupang" buttons in the grocery list are Coupang Partners affiliate links. Tapping one opens the Coupang app or website, where Coupang's privacy policy applies. We add no information that identifies you to these links.

3. Photos and AI

Before you first use any AI feature (photo recognition, "Clear out the fridge"), the App shows what is sent, where it goes, what it is used for, and how long it is kept, and these features run only after you consent. Consent is collected per fridge. Turning off "Send to Google Gemini" under Settings > AI Features withdraws consent immediately; withdrawal does not affect other features such as manual entry.

When you recognize a photo, it is sent to our server and passed to Google's Gemini API to read its contents. The photo is deleted as soon as recognition finishes; any left behind by an error are deleted automatically within 7 days. "Clear out the fridge" sends no photos — only the items in that fridge (including those added by family members sharing the fridge), with name, quantity and remaining shelf life, go to the Gemini API. We use the paid Gemini API; Google does not use this data to train its models or improve its products, and may only retain it for a limited period to monitor for prohibited use.

4. How we use data

• Tracking fridge inventory and dates, and sharing with your family
• Photo recognition, recipe suggestions and expiry reminders
• Applying the lifetime pass and free/paid limits
• Diagnosing errors and keeping the service reliable
• Analyzing usage to improve features

5. Processors and international transfer

• Google LLC (Firebase auth, database, storage, servers; Firebase Crashlytics; Google Analytics for Firebase; Gemini API; Google Play in-app purchase) — database in Seoul; temporary photo storage, AI processing and app analytics in the US and elsewhere
• 650 Industries, Inc. (Expo push notifications) — US

6. Retention

• Photos: deleted right after recognition (at most 7 days on error)
• AI recipe results: deleted after 2 days
• Operational logs such as change history and delivery records: deleted automatically after a set period
• Usage statistics: deleted automatically 400 days after last use (per-day records after 90 days)
• App analytics (Google Analytics): event-level records are deleted automatically after Google Analytics' configured data-retention period (up to 14 months)
• Crash reports: deleted after 90 days
• Fridge records and account: until you ask us to delete them or the service ends

You can delete everything directly with "Delete all my data" at the bottom of Settings. Doing so removes items, grocery list, favorites, usage counters (and the entire fridge if it is a solo fridge), device and notification data, recognition and notification logs, usage statistics, uploaded photos, invite codes you created, and your account; the App then restarts with a new anonymous account.

The following, however, remain: ① Fridges shared with family — they stay because they belong to the family; only your membership is removed (items you added will still show the random account ID that remains). ② Payment records — only the transaction information is kept, with your account ID removed, so we can reconcile store transactions and process refunds. ③ App analytics and crash reports — these are not linked to your account and are deleted after the retention periods above.

If you cannot open the App, email us the "User ID" shown at the bottom of Settings and we will delete it within 7 days.

7. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or stop processing your data at any time: support@tez.kr

8. Children

The App is not directed at children under 14 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We will announce changes to this policy in the App or on this page.
